About this Course

Learn the art of Métis Beading with Métis artist, Kathy Morgan; as, she shares the art and stories passed down through her family over many generations. Design a beaded poppy in commemoration of Indigenous Veterans Day and Remembrance Day; or, a beaded flower of choice. Kathy is a proud member of the Métis Nation of Ontario, renowned for their distinguished beadwork, most often incorporating floral patterns. She was initially taught beadwork by her Métis grandmother; and, continues to share her knowledge as a Métis Cultural Presenter and beadwork instructor.
